My CPU burned up I need to replace it, I just want to know if I'm going to loose my OS when I change the CPU....not the motherboard, not an upgrade...just replace the CPU that is burned and no longer functions. Everything else is fine.

That should go just fine. Windows may need to be reactivated but that shouldn't be a problem.

Your computer OS doesn't usually have CPU dependent drivers. The drivers are, however, usually dependent upon the motherboard and its parts, so as long as it is the same motherboard (or one of the exact same model) there should be no problems.
