My Vizio 40" flat screen will power up! The big V comes up on the screen and then shuts off! What's wrong?

The TV was purchased from eBay almost 90 days ago! It had a 60 day warranty. Last night when I turned it on the light came on, the big V came up in the middle of the screen as everything seemed fine and then powers off! This is all I can get it too do! Please tell me it is an inexpensive fix. Can anyone tell me what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated
