Help phone broke

Hi I have a Samsung intensity 3 and yesterday some foil piece was stuck in between the connectors for the display screen and keypad. I took a Swiss Army knife to try to get it out but then realized it might be part of the phone. An hour later I was using my phone and it just died. When I plug it into the charger the keypad lights up but the display screen stays off. I don't want to get a new phone because my upgrade is in August but I can't go phone less for 3 months. Is there any way to fix it
