everytime I enter my new password twice it says they don't match but they do

I tried to login to my Hotmail account a few weeks ago. I use it for nearly every correspondence. All of a sudden it doesn't recognise my password. So I try and reset it but the message I get every time is the two passwords do not match. Of course they do. I've even got other people to try and caps lock is off etc. But still I get the same message. It's SO ANNOYING.!!so I have to use my g mail account for everything but I have no alternative email address. What is loving on?

Type your password out in something like notepad. Copy it and then use the paste function (shift + ins) to put it in the two password boxes.
