Some one said it has a virus but it sat up and was not used from 2013 to 2014 I was using my laptop. When I switched from com cast to RCN Internet the tech didn't do any thing on the desktop like com cast did he did it on my laptop every since then my computer didn't work right so I did a factory rest by mistake now a green e and vertical green lines is all I get the mouse is not recognized the key board won't light up and work I can't do anything . HELP my grandkids homework is due.

I am unclear - is this the desktop or the laptop?

You say you ran a factory restore - did that complete properly? Did it take you through the Windows setup?

If you actually did do a factory restore, then any malware would have been wiped. If what you did was to implement a restore point then there are some additional troubleshooting steps we can do.
