my modem connects but sometimes cant open a web page after it has lost connection

my modem loses connection after sometime but it reconnects when i click on the connect button. after the connection, the link connects but unable to open a web page. if i connect the same modem to a different computer it works and open web pages very well but if  i reconnect to the previous computer, it doesnt open a web page.
