Why is my Lenovo A706’s Menu Key/Settings key on the hard buttons acting like the home button?

Whenever I press the settings/menu key (the left one) on my lenovo a706, it directs me to home. Also when I connect to any WLAN or 3G connection, it won’t let me use Google Play but can still browse as usual. I have tried factory reset and have searched in settings for any parts that may have been touched.
