At present I have my own domain name that I use for sending private emails.  My ISP is British Telecom and I use POP at the moment.  I would like to enable email on my tablet and my phone so that whichever device I use to send or receive messages, the other two will have the same messages in the inbox, sent items and other email folders I have created in my Outlook programme on my pc.  Will switching from pop to imap enable me to do what I want, or should I be using a cloud based email programme and if so which one please ?

Many thanks.

Using POP would work. In Outlook, find the place where advanced settings are and check the box to leave messages on the server.
