i have had my ipad since xmas but it developed this problem yesterday. could it have anything to do with the fact that i hit the Yahoo button to enable it (for no good reason except that it was there, never having used it before on my ipad)? i am unfortunately a techno idiot, as is obvious probably fro my query. Thanks, in anticipation of rescue.

Then maybe the site has expired or it is blocked in some way . Please ask someone who knows about computers or go to any computer shop and they'll tell you .

This happens because of the varying way in which iOS handles DNS requests.

To resolve this, go to Settings, Wi-Fi, <Your Wi-Fi Name>, DHCP and change the value of DNS to 208.67.222.222 which is OpenDNS service IP address. This will resolve the server not found error.
