What would cause my computer to keep restarting and then quit working?

About a month ago I had computer problems, my computer started acting weird. It would go from the start up screen to the homepage, then repeat the same process. It did this for about ten minutes, I then ran an online virus scan, after that the screen went blank. I can no longer get my computer to start, I can't get my computer to even turn on!! What could have happened to my computer?!!

It sounds like your computer has been infected with the MSBlaster worm. It was all over the place some years back, and still shows up from time to time.

If that fixes it for you, then you'll want to download a good anti-malware utility (AVG is good) and a firewall (Agnitum is good) to semi-protect yourself in the future. You should also run a good malware scanner/repair utility such as Spybot Search and Destroy. Online scanners aren't worth a tinker's damn, and will often infect you themselves. It's also important to get a good browser such as Firefox or Opera, and never, ever use Internet Explorer for anything ever again.
